- Simon’s piece feels the strongest to me, the execution showing of some impressive comp and perspective skills. I feel like most of the pieces missed the theme a little, there being scarce surprise in any of them, but Simon’s piece left me curious, even though the scene animated a little too much like Attack on Titan in my mind, there is much that could have been done to tie the themes together better here and make the narrative stronger. Still, it’s a lovely piece, I hope you go all the way to the final c:
- Winner Simon Dwyer: Great piece, strong storytelling and some creepy dudes to go with it! I like the composition and the hierarchy of elements in the image and it works very well overall. Careful with the briefing in the future, with that scale of creature everyone would "see it coming" 2nd Mayo: Nice atmospheric piece, there's something very creepy and eerie about the image which i enjoy quite a lot. I would have been nice to go closer to the creature or to view the scene from within the city POV. 3rd AmirLevi: Very cool piece and right on point with the briefing! Interesting approach and composition! 4th CarlSchlesinger: A very cool image on the topic of betrayal! Nicely done overall but some things in the story and composition could be pushed even further! 5th Zyalin: I feel like this piece is quite interesting but it needs a bit more support on the painting side to help it shine through. We need to be able to read the image in a split second so clarity is ultimately very important with paintings like this! All in all very cool idea! 6th JoshuaGilbreath: I feel like this piece is quite interesting but it needs a bit more support on the painting side to help it shine through. We need to be able to read the image in a split second so clarity is ultimately very important with paintings like this! Very strong palette and colors!
